AMP-Jacareí brings splash of colour

In late July 2024, a Municipal School in Jacareí, São Paulo, received a vibrant makeover thanks to a partnership between PPG and AMP, with support from the Jacareí City Hall and the Municipal Department of Education. Through PPG’s Colorful Communities® programme, approximately 150 volunteers comprising employees, public officials and community members joined forces to give the school a vibrant new look. PPG’s donation of 1,200 litres of paint made it possible to paint classrooms, the cafeteria and the sports court in a colour scheme designed to create a more playful and stimulating environment for the school’s 569 students.

The initiative also involved revitalising the school garden – a space dedicated to learning and environmental awareness – in partnership with GRI (Industrial Waste Management). Additional support came from AMP customers who donated water and canned soft drinks to keep volunteers refreshed and hydrated.
